Cancer patient and sixteen-year-old girl has a chance meeting with a boy at cancer support group. This is the number 1 best selling book in 48 states at Amazon.com during the last twelve months.

        

The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt

Painting smuggled out of a museum of art. Several people in the group commented they had heard from other friends that this is a very good book.

 

The Husband's Secret by Liane Moriarty

Woman discovers a letter from her husband she wasn’t supposed to read until his death. Her new book Big Little Lies is drawing a lot of attention from reviewers. Another of her books, What Alice Forgot is also available at the library.

 

Little Mercies by Heather Gudenkauf (Iowa author)

Social worker makes one small mistake that has life-altering consequences. Her other books have been well-liked by readers in Orient. Weight of Silence and These Things Hidden.


One Plus One by Jojo Moyes

A millionaire rescues a mom and her kids enroute to a math contest. Moyes is a very popular author at the library.

 

Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline

Orphans from New York are sent to the Midwest in the 1920’s. Everyone who reads this book says it is very good!

 

Straw Bale Gardens by Joel Karsten

Create a weedless vegetable garden anywhere. Two out of the three people who have checked out this book have started a straw bale garden!
