Location: Orient Methodist Church, 124 S. Maple, Orient, IA
Cost is $25 per person. Registration deadline is June 3.

The details are worked out to offer a workshop on making and canning “Salsa” in cooperation with Adair County Extension. Everyone goes home with one jar of salsa made from fresh tomatoes. Do register as soon as possible as class size is limited.

1. The fastest and easiest way to register is to go online and pay by credit card. 
2. You can also register online and mail a printed copy of the registration form with your check.
3. Third option is to call or visit the Extension Office, they will register you and you will pay by credit card or mail in the registration form with your check.
4. Go to the library to register online on a day when Sharon is there to help you.

Iowans can learn how to “Preserve the Taste of Summer” during hands-on workshops from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. “Preserve the Taste of Summer” provides the most current USDA-approved food preservation recommendations, said Barb Fuller, a human sciences specialist in nutrition and wellness with ISU Extension and Outreach.

“It’s a great opportunity for anyone age 18 or older who is interested in learning safe food preservation techniques. “Fuller said.
