Dave Baker from The 29th State will be visiting and teaching about the towns and communities which no longer appear on the maps. Come learn how the Civil War, railroads, and the American West shaped Adair County. We will also discuss what ghost towns are, how to find them, and how to use them to better understand the world around us.

Dave Baker began photographing the state of Iowa in 2010 and has taken pictures of over 10,000 communities, villages, landmarks and historical sites.
