Social activities such as Book Clubs and Summer Social are cancelled.

Tuesday: 3:00 - 6:00 pm Beginning June 16.
Curbside service also available. Call or email requests.
The Library Board has met to establish a set of guidelines for library visitors. See below.

Summer Programs
All children’s summer programs will be virtual. Schedule will be determined soon. Check the website or library’s Facebook page for the latest information on a schedule.

Book Clubs
Book Club #1 is suspended until further notice. Members will be contacted individually when book club resumes.
Book Club #2 does not meet during the summer.

Remember the library has many online resources for patrons to use. Bridges has been upgraded with purchases to reduce wait times. So if you can’t get to the library there are other options! Contact the library if you want to know about Bridges: Iowa’s eLibrary. Audiobooks, eBooks, streaming video and magazines are all available for checkout. Plus, it’s FREE.

Other online resources are Chilton Repair Manual, Gale resources, Brainfuse, Transparent Language, and Credo Reference. Links to all these resources are on the library’s homepage, Now is the time to see what is available.

Guidelines for Public Library Usage

  • Face masks are recommended.
  • Ten minute time limit.
  • Limit two patrons at a time in library. Follow social distancing guidelines.
  • Public restrooms are not available.
  • Use hand sanitizer provided at library door before and after entering the library.
  • Return all books to outside book return.
  • All returned books will be quarantined before being returned to the shelves.
  • Curbside service still available.
  • Guidelines will be reviewed monthly and will change as needed.

What is Curbside Service?

Curbside service is for anyone who does not want to go into the library to checkout their books. Instead, call the library during open hours or email or Facebook message ahead of time. Tell staff what you would like to check out or what kind of books you prefer. Staff will select and checkout the items for you and will put books/movies in a bag to be placed by outside door at the agreed upon time. You drive up and get out of vehicle and pick up your bag with your name on it. There is no contact with staff this way. There is very little risk with handling a plastic bag and you can quarantine the books for three days if you are concerned.
